There was a space of time when Noah and Amy needed to be at work this month and Abe's school was not yet in session...so the grandmothers gladly helped out.
My time with Abe was spent in creative play...
I brought along my Chippie for some fun and of course, Abe got his very own Chippie.
We toasted marshmallows.
We went for a walk and hopped the playground posts.
Some squirrels had left a snack for our chipmunks.
Abe and I didn't realize how much our Chippies enjoyed swinging.
Joe and I thought Abe would get a kick out of "Poopie" and he certainly did!
There was quite a bit of village building with my Ginny doll bossing all of us around...at least that was Abe's point of view.
His imagination is a wonder to behold.
Joe visited us at lunchtime and was the official box opener.
Abe spent hours with this playset his parents found online.
I put a couple of games on my iPad for Abe and he played them when he rested, which wasn't very often!
Abe wanted me to bring his "Story Blanket" downstairs and make up stories about the village. We had done this before, but this time he wanted to be part of the story.
The grand finale to our playtime was the Sidewalk House we designed together.
I told him I used to make houses on sidewalks and he immediately yelled..."Let's make one too, Oma!"
And so we did and spent hours playing in it with Abe directing most of the activities.
And then Noah and Amy were recruited to continue adding to the house and playing in it as well when I went home.
I just love that boy...
